October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and we heard an update about this issue in our community from Dr. Maria Houston, executive director of CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence. CHOICES is a program of Lutheran Social Services and operates the only shelter geared toward victims of domestic violence in Franklin County. Dr. Houston is a licensed clinical psychologist and adjunct professor in psychology at Columbus State Community College. More photos are on our Flickr photo website:
