We’ve had a great fall so far with the Dublin AM Rotary Club. I wanted to first recognize our Incoming President, Dan Schwegman, for spearheading our first annual Night at the Races fundraiser. We had a fantastic attendance and raised needed funds for the Dublin AM Rotary Foundation. Feedback regarding the event was uniformly positive. Many thanks, Dan, for all of your efforts. I’d also like to recognize all of our Dublin AM Rotary volunteers who helped make this event a success. We look forward to hosting a second annual Night at the Races event next fall!
We have a number of fun events/meetings planned over the coming weeks. First, a Perfect Party will take place on November 14 at the Georgiton residence – please be sure to RSVP on ClubRunner if you haven’t already. I hope to see you there. At our meetings, we are looking forward to welcoming Dublin Taiko on November 14. The following week we are in for a treat as Ohio State Football alums Craig Krenzel, Ryan Miller, and Jimmie Bell will be stopping by to offer their thoughts and analysis on this year’s Ohio State Football season and, in particular, the upcoming showdown with That Team Up North (sorry, not sorry, Pete Cushnie!) We are also putting the finishing touches on the details for our annual Holiday Party, which is scheduled for December 13 at The Country Club at Muirfield. We look forward to seeing you at these events & meetings.
On another note, in early November, our club was recognized at the 2024–2025 District 6690 Awards Ceremony. Both Wolf and Gene Oliver attended and were proud to accept several honors on behalf of our club. We received a Rotary Foundation Award, presented as a Certificate of Appreciation for our financial support of End Polio Now. In addition, our club earned two Certificates of Achievement — one for 100% Every Rotarian, Every Year, recognizing that every member contributed to the Rotary Foundation, and the second, the Club Excellence Award, celebrating our success in achieving all the goals we set for the Rotary year. Thank you all for your continued dedication and generosity. Your support made these accomplishments possible, and I’m confident that together we’ll build on this success in the year ahead. And many thanks to Gene Oliver, as his leadership during the 2024-2025 helped our club to earn these awards!
