Our Rotary Year: A Strong Start!
Our Rotary year is off to an inspiring start! From the meaningful impact our club continues to make in the local community to thought-provoking discussions on economic development and beyond, we’re making great strides. We look forward to seeing you at upcoming meetings, social events, and volunteer opportunities. Don’t forget—bring a guest along! Supporting our district goal, we encourage every member to invite at least one guest to join in on the fun and experience the impact of Rotary firsthand.
On September 1, 2024, Rotary announced a $500,000 commitment to the polio outbreak response in Gaza. This contribution will be channeled through Rotary's Polio Outbreak Response Fund. On August 26, 2024, 1.2 million doses of polio vaccines arrived in Gaza to support vaccination campaigns. Rotary has immunized more than 2.5 billion children worldwide, reducing cases by 99.9% since 1988. However, the world is not yet polio-free, and new challenges have emerged due to humanitarian crises, overstretched health systems, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Rotary's PolioPlus program provides more than just polio eradication, including hand-operated tricycles, access to water, medical treatment, bed nets, and soap.
Yours In Rotary Service,
Gene Oliver

It is time to make a difference in the lives of clients of The Salvation Army and Syntero for our annual Adopt-A-Family donations. Members and friends of Dublin AM Rotary have shopped for these organizations for over 25 years. We adopt the families, go shopping to buy the things they need and want, and then we deliver to the drop-off points for The Salvation Army and Syntero. We spend approximately $3,000 for 15-20 individuals, mostly children. These families can only be adopted one time.
We are requesting volunteer shoppers who would like to shop for a couple of our adopted individuals. We are also requesting all club members consider a monetary donation to make this a Happy Holiday season for these families.
Rich can accept credit card donations at any Friday meeting. We will Pass the Hat for cash donations in November. You can make a pledge to be billed or volunteer to shop by emailing Amy Barnhart, Susan Robenalt, or Maddy Andrews.
All gifts must be delivered on December 14th. This is why we are asking for donations earlier this year. Securing funds early also helps our Shoppers find the best buys!
This is considered a Charitable Contribution since the money goes into the Dublin AM Rotary Foundation. Please support Adopt-A-Family for The Salvation Army and Syntero.
Thank you to all the Rotarians who joined together to support Dublin Scioto High School in winning the Battle of Hard Road Food Drive on September 20, 2024. While Dublin Scioto lost the football game to Worthington Kilbourne 21-7, both teams won by helping stock the Worthington and Dublin Food Pantries, and we all thank you for your help in doing so! Dublin A.M. Rotary worked with the Dublin and Worthington Lions clubs and both high schools to help make this a real community effort!
