Members and Newsletter Subscribers - Welcome to the Dublin AM Rotary Club Newsletter. If you have visited a meeting, but are not yet a member, please read to learn about our club. If you are interested in membership, contact Kurt Brown.
We are excited to welcome several new members currently completing their new-member orientation checklist and preparing for their upcoming "red badge" ceremony in the coming weeks. Additionally, we have multiple new member applications in the queue. Please take a moment to introduce yourself, include our new members in committee activities, and invite them to social events. Also, if you haven't connected with your Rotary buddy recently, please reach out to check in. Growing our membership and ensuring that everyone feels connected strengthens our club and enhances our collective impact as Rotarians.
It's been wonderful seeing several guests attending our meetings recently, bringing new energy and smiling faces. We encourage everyone to invite friends and neighbors to join our meetings and experience firsthand the great organization we have, along with the meaningful work we do in service to our community.
We are pleased to announce that Deborah McGibbon Varga, our weekly server at the Country Club and a community member, has been made an honorary member of the Dublin AM Rotary Club. Deb has attended most of our meetings and has volunteered alongside our club for years. Deb is pictured below (center) with Cindy Groeniger and Gene Oliver.
With gratitude and appreciation,
Gene Oliver

Committee Updates
Membership Committee
The Dublin AM Rotary Board has approved a new membership tier for Young Professionals.
The goal is to encourage professionals, under the age of 35, to join Dublin AM Rotary, and to engage and volunteer.
Young Professional Membership dues will be set to cover the club's fixed costs at $200 per year. Young Professional members will be required to volunteer for at least one service project each year. If you have questions, or know someone you think may be interested in joining Dublin AM Rotary as a Young Professional, please contact Kurt Brown.
Education Services
The literacy committee will be holding a community-wide book drive to collect children's books. Please start collecting books and we will send out an email soon with more details, including the dates of the collection. We ask for new and gently used books, with a primary focus on books for kindergarten to 6th grade readers. Books with diverse characters and experiences are encouraged. The books will be donated to 2nd & 7, the literacy non-profit founded by Ryan Miller in 1999, who recently spoke to our club. The mission of 2nd & 7 is to promote reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need, while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward.
Club members are invited to the2nd & 7 event at Thomas Elementary School (4671 Tuttle Crossing Blvd) on April 24 at 10:00am. Please arrive by 9:45am. Dublin AM Rotary has supported 2nd & 7 programming and its mission to promote reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward.
Updates coming soon from the Scholarship Committee.
