It’s hard to believe, but the holidays are here, and we are nearly halfway through the Rotary year. The holidays are a great time for reflection and for giving thanks. To that end, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for all you do for our club. Our club continues to have a tremendous impact in the community and the world at large, whether it is helping to end hunger through our support of the Dublin Food Pantry, encouraging childhood literacy with our support of 2nd & 7, helping needy families through adopt-a-family, supporting research for a cure for Rhett Syndrome at the Polar Bear Golf Outing, or eradicating Polio through the 125 Club. Every step of the way, our members and friends have stepped up to support our club and these worthy endeavors.
Our community knows that Dublin AM Rotary Club is a trusted partner in making our world a better place, and we could not have achieved this position without your support. But we’re not done: much work remains in the coming months. Importantly, on February 7 we will host the annual Polar Bear Golf Outing at the Safari Golf Club – please spread the word about this event to friends and family. And if you have time, please volunteer for the Polar Bear Golf Outing Committee. We’re also looking for sponsors for the event, including hole sponsors at the $100 level. (Please e-mail me or Gene Oliver if you’re interested.)
Finally, please post often on social media about Dublin AM Rotary events, including sharing posts by Dublin AM Rotary. The more engagement we have with the community, the better we can recruit new members and ensure the success of our club for years to come. Thanks again, and I hope each of you have a happy, healthy, and joyous holiday season.
With appreciation
Peter Georgiton
