Dublin AM Rotary Newsletter February 2025

Members and Newsletter Subscribers - Welcome to the Dublin AM Rotary Club Newsletter.  If you have visited a meeting, but are not yet a member, please read to learn about our club. If you are interested in membership, contact  Kurt Brown.

As we spring forward into a season of new opportunities, our club continues to make great strides in membership, programming, and leadership development. Here’s a quick look at what’s happening in the Dublin AM Rotary Club!

Membership: Bring a Guest and Grow Our Club! One of our club’s goals is for every member to bring a guest. We have a fantastic lineup of programs ahead, making it the perfect time to invite a friend or colleague to experience the impact of Rotary. A few events to highlight – the full list is available at dublinam.org:
  • March 14: Rumpke Recycling Tour
  • April 11: Interact Clubs & Maddy Andrews on her Leadership Dublin Experience
  • April 25: City Manager Megan O’Callaghan on the State of the City
  • May 2: Transportation Research Center Tour
  • May 16: Scholarship Awards
  • June 6: Dublin Business Advisory Council hosted by Page Vornbrock
  • June 13: Mount Carmel Hospital Tour
We encourage strong attendance at these meetings—bring a guest and share the Rotary experience!

March 21st Speaker Needed! Due to some scheduling shifts, we have an unexpected opening for our March 21st meeting. If you have a speaker suggestion, please reach out to Peter Georgiton at peter.georgiton@dinsmore.com.
Looking ahead, we’re also beginning to plan next year’s speaker calendar, starting in July. Our goal is to provide relevant and informative content, and your input is invaluable—let us know what topics or speakers you’d love to see!

Updated Bylaws: Review and Vote! You received an email about our updated bylaws on March 6. Please take a moment to review and cast your vote. A key change is the addition of a Vice President Nominee position to our officer list. This will help build leadership depth and create growth opportunities to ensure the long-term strength and sustainability of our club.

Additionally, in our ongoing commitment to membership growth and development, we’re introducing a Young Professionals Membership Tier. This initiative will offer a three-year, reduced-fee membership for new members under 35, with the expectation that they will continue their Rotary service in our club without the incentive after this period.

Thank you for your continued dedication to Dublin AM Rotary. Let’s keep the momentum going and make 2025 a year of growth, service, and impact!

With gratitude and appreciation,
Gene Oliver
