Brown Bag Lunch Program
Denise Gordan from the Brown Bag Lunch ministry program shared very important information about the group's summer lunch program for  children who may not have access to lunch when there is no school. The BBL volunteers make and deliver 400 lunches twice a week through a door-to-door outreach effort. For 3 years they have focused on helping children and families who live in the Bethel-Sawmill area where food insecurity is extremely high. In addition to lunch bags, the volunteers distribute books to children, lunches to seniors and "blessing bags" with non-perishable items to families.

Denise asked for our club support and our members rose to the occasion, passing the basket to make a donation to the BBL program. Learn more about this remarkable program or volunteer your support at www.nwumc.com/brownbags.

  • Summer Golf Outing
  • 5K Walk/Run & Community Event
  • Other Sporting Event

David will share the members' decision at our next club meeting. The new event will be added to our annual Polar Bear Golf Outing and DIF fundraising efforts.
