CLUB NEWS:

The May 27th meeting had 57 Dublin AM Club Rotarians, 4 visiting Rotarians, and 3 Guests in attendance.

Reminder that due to The Memorial Tournament, we will not be holding a meeting on Friday, June 3rd.  Our next meeting is Friday, June 10th.

Reminder from Rita Hook that Saturday, May 27th, is the rescheduled date of our Spring social function.  Meet at the Play Polo Club polo match at 3pm, with proceeds from the event benefitting “La Via” orphanage in Moldova (one of our club’s international projects). 

Reminder that the Dublin Slider Challenge will be held on Saturday, July 9th from 1-4pm with a number of restaurants in historic Dublin participating.  Mark your calendars and spread the word!  All proceeds benefit the Dublin AM Rotary Foundation.

MEETING HIGHLIGHTS:

New Assistant District Governor, Steve Heiser, was introduced, and Steve emphasized the opportunity to attend the Rotary International convention and mark the 100th anniversary.  Registration for the 2017 convention in Atlanta opens May 28th.

Claudia Trusty announced that through a grant from our District Governor, our group was able to award 4 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who participated in Interact.  3 of those scholarships went to seniors from Dublin’s own Coffman High School!

Dublin AM’s Amber Hulme introduced Derek Hurley with AIRROSTI.   Derek talked about AIRROSTI’s approach to pain and injury solutions through manual therapies.  AIRROSTI treats a wide range of musculoskeletal, soft-tissue, acute and chronic problems ranging from headache to planter fascia.  The Over 5,000 surgeries have been avoided through their therapies, as have 94% of patients reduced their pharmaceutical requirements.  AIRROSTI’s innovative approach involves no MRIs, no machines, no surgeries, for injections, and they work with athletes and athletic teams and have expanded their reach into employers who want to offer proactive treatment to their employees.
